Lead Residential Care Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to oversee the daily operations of a residential care home in Perth. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a team of support workers and create a safe, culturally respectful, and therapeutic environment for young people with complex needs.

\

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or similar qualification) and experience supporting young people with trauma and high needs. Strong leadership and team management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support a team of Residential Support Workers\
  • Ensure the home is emotionally and physically safe, nurturing, and engaging\
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people\
  • Manage care planning, transitions, and stakeholder collaboration\
  • Roster staff appropriately and respond to crisis situations when needed\
  • Facilitate team meetings, reflective supervision, and ongoing training\
  • Keep client records and reports up to date using CIRTS database
