The Residential Care Manager will oversee a team and create a secure, culturally sensitive, and therapeutic environment for young people with complex needs.

This is a hands-on role based primarily on-site, with one day per week at our central office.

About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate and committed Residential Care Manager to lead one of our residential care facilities in Perth.

This role requires strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team of Residential Support Workers
  • Ensure the facility is emotionally and physically safe, nurturing, and engaging
  • Foster strong relationships with children and young people
  • Manage care planning, transitions, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Roster staff appropriately and respond to crisis situations when needed
  • Facilitate team meetings, reflective supervision, and ongoing training
  • Maintain accurate client records and reports using our database
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or similar qualification)
  • Experience supporting young people with trauma and high needs
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to manage crisis situations and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
