Key Role in Data Foundations

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to contribute to the design, development and maintenance of our cloud Enterprise Data Warehouse.

You will play a key role in building the data foundations that facilitate analytics, reporting and AI rollout at scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming and storing data using DBT and BigQuery.
  • Conduct SQL data investigations, optimisations and troubleshooting pipeline-related issues.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and produce high-quality documentation.
  • Implement and support monitoring and alerting solutions for data quality, pipeline health and performance metrics.
  • Adhere to technology standards, data governance, privacy policies and IT security standards.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in data engineering, including ETL processes, data modelling and data warehouse development in cloud environments.
  • Experience in the design, development and support of Enterprise Data Warehouses.
  • Advanced SQL experience for data transformation and querying.
  • Hands-on experience working with DBT and BigQuery.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and addressing production defects, bug fixes and supporting ETL pipelines.
  • Experience working with large volumes of data and transforming it for optimal business use and ETL performance (time and cost).
  • Experience in CI/CD and with GCP.
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python is a plus.
