About the Role

We are seeking a Data Engineer to take ownership of our data engineering infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Scalable Systems: Designing and maintaining scalable data processing systems and databases.
  • Build and Optimize Pipelines: Building and optimizing data pipelines to support the collection, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data into data warehouses or lakes.
  • Ensure Data Quality: Ensuring data quality and accuracy by implementing robust validation and monitoring processes.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams to align data systems with business goals and measure success effectively.
  • Address Data Quality: Driving cross-functional efforts to address data quality, reporting, and insights, while remediating inconsistencies and gaps.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong Communication Skills: A great collaborator who can work to understand the needs of different stakeholders and develop a strategy that considers each of these.
  • Data Expertise: Extensive experience with SQL, data modeling tools like dbt, and programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Modern Event Stack: Hands-on expertise with a modern event data stack and familiarity with tools such as Segment, Amplitude, BigQuery, Looker Studio, Google Analytics, and AWS/GCP.
