We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Lead to lead our modern data stack and oversee a team of engineers in building scalable, high-performing data solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in architecting data platforms, mentoring teams, and has hands-on experience with Databricks and dbt.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
- Design, implement, and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and dbt.
- Drive the adoption of modern data practices, ensuring data quality, governance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, actionable data.
- Own the technical roadmap for data engineering, aligning initiatives with business goals.
- Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Data Engineer, with leadership or mentorship experience.
- Strong expertise in Databricks (PySpark/SQL) and dbt for transformation and modelling.
- Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with modern data architectures, including lakehouse and streaming solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
- Passion for driving engineering excellence and fostering a collaborative team culture.
