Senior Production Engineer

Westgold Resources is shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia.

About this role:

  • Lead the safe and efficient extraction of gold at underground operations.
  • Develop and deliver safe, efficient production plans covering drilling, charging and remote bogging activities.

The role includes:

  • Plan, supervise and implement weekly drill and blast activities with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Schedule, own, plan and manage the 3MS process using Deswik IS.
  • Ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of drill and blast standards to optimize recovery and minimize dilutions.
  • Promote a high-performance culture by actively coaching, engaging with and providing feedback to engineers.
  • Assist with a range of operational and technical tasks, including fulfilling statutory responsibilities.
  • Support daily underground operations and contribute to achieving production targets through sound engineering practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong level in mining software (Deswik IS, CAD, UDGM, VEntsim) and Microsoft tools to support production and reporting.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across levels of the business.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • People Management skills.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a strategic approach to continuous improvement to achieve best outcomes for the organization.
  • Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class C Driver's License.
  • National Police Clearance – 12 month validity.
