Project Manager Job Description

Theodore Wind Farm Project Director position is available to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a major infrastructure project. The role includes overseeing construction, commissioning, and handover to Operations.

The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering safety, environmental, schedule, cost, quality, and stakeholder outcomes aligned with strategic goals.

  • Lead a diverse team with a collaborative approach.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, respect, and performance.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and interfaces across internal teams and contractors.

Key Responsibilities include:

Leadership
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Implement HSSE principles to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Address project-specific risks, including remote construction and environmental factors.
Project Management
  • Oversee all phases of project delivery, ensuring successful commissioning and high-quality transition to Operations.
  • Manage construction schedules and budgets within approved tolerances.
  • Implement robust project controls, reporting, and governance frameworks.
Contract & Commercial Management
  • Manage contracts, negotiate claims, and ensure compliance with legal obligations.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and government agencies.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Represent the project to internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, financiers, and community groups.
  • Maintain open communication on progress, risks, and milestones.
Job Requirements & Experience
  • 10+ years in major infrastructure or renewable project delivery, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
  • Proven success delivering complex projects in remote environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and HSSE outcomes.
Other Requirements
  • Willingness to travel and spend extended time on-site.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
