Renewable Energy Project Lead Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Project Lead to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects in Australia. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects in remote environments, preferably in the renewables sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a diverse project team with a collaborative approach, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, respect, and performance.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and interfaces across internal teams and contractors.
  • Engage with local communities respectfully and in line with cultural heritage protocols.
  • Champion Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) principles and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and internal standards.
  • Manage all phases of project delivery, ensuring successful commissioning and high-quality transition to Operations.
  • Implement robust project controls, reporting, and governance frameworks.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in major infrastructure or renewable project delivery, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
  • Proven success delivering complex projects in remote environments, preferably in renewables.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and HSSE outcomes.
  • Familiarity with Australian WHS and environmental legislation.
