Indigenous Engagement Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indigenous Engagement Manager to join our team based in Adelaide. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our community by developing and implementing effective Indigenous engagement strategies that promote a culturally inclusive environment.

This role requires the ability to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive Indigenous Awareness programs that educate and inform staff and contractors about Indigenous cultures and histories. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Indigenous engagement strategies, including identifying and engaging with Indigenous businesses and contractors.
  • Design and deliver Indigenous Awareness programs to educate staff and contractors about Indigenous cultures and histories.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of strategies with broader organisational goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and policies affecting Indigenous engagement and employment.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of the Indigenous Engagement strategy and associated initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in community development, social sciences, or related field.
  • Experience in identifying and engaging with Indigenous businesses and contractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in delivering training and awareness programs.
