About the Role

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring inclusive environments where every child can participate, learn and thrive. As an Inclusion Support Educator, you will collaborate with early childhood education and care services to provide equitable access to quality education and care for children with additional needs.

Working closely with educators, families, and specialists, you will develop and implement individualised support plans tailored to each child's unique requirements.

This role is integral to fostering a culture of inclusion, promoting understanding and awareness of the rights and needs of all children within the broader community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans for children with additional needs in collaboration with educators and families.
  • Provide guidance and support to educators in adopting inclusive practices that ensure all children can engage meaningfully in the learning environment.
  • Source and utilise specialist equipment and resources to facilitate inclusion, adhering to the Inclusion Support Program guidelines.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of inclusion within the broader community, advocating for the rights and needs of all children.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting children with additional needs is essential.
  • Hold an ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (Preferred) or Certificate III in Education Support.
  • Current First Aid training and CPR Certificate are mandatory.
  • A valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check is required.
  • Knowledge of EYLF and NQS is necessary.
  • Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices is expected.
