Dams Mechanical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our specialist team of dams mechanical engineers.
About the Role- This position requires technical leadership in the design of gates, regulating structures, outlet works, valves, fish screens and other mechanical aspects of water storage dam infrastructure.
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills are necessary to develop sustainable capability within the team.
- The successful candidate will lead and oversee delivery of quality technical solutions and successful project outcomes.
- Key responsibilities also include participating in client relationship management, business development and proposal preparation.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Significant experience in mechanical engineering aspects of water storage dams is essential.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years' experience in consulting environment, specifically in design and specification of gates, hoists, outlet works, trash racks and screens, fishways, pipe work, valves and other mechanical equipment associated with dams.
- Risk assessments and dam safety inspections or condition assessments of hydromechanical plant experience would be beneficial.
- Multidisciplinary team working experience, including geologists, structural engineers, hydraulic engineers, dams engineers, and electrical and civil engineers, is desirable.
