Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Director or Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our specialist team of dams mechanical engineers.

The ideal candidate will deliver innovative solutions and high-quality projects for our clients, and contribute to the development of a robust, skilled, and motivated team that drives our long-term success.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership in the design of gates, regulating structures, outlet works, valves, fish screens and other mechanical aspects of water storage dam infrastructure
  • Mentor and collaborate with the rest of the team to enhance sustainable capability
  • Lead and oversee delivery of quality technical solutions and successful project outcomes that meet client expectations
  • Active participation in client relationship management, business development and proposal/technical report development
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and experience in dams mechanical engineering
  • Experience at all project phases including project identification, feasibility studies, conceptual design, reference design, and detailed design
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in a consulting environment specifically in design and specification of gates, hoists, outlet works, trash racks and screens, fishways, pipe work, valves and other mechanical equipment associated with dams
  • Experience in risk assessments and dam safety inspections or condition assessments of hydromechanical plant
  • Successful development and growth of strong client relationships
