Financial Control and Transformation Role
The Commonwealth Bank of Australia (Bank) is a leading provider of integrated financial services, committed to improving governance practices and aligning them with business, stakeholders, and customers' needs.
In Financial Services, we focus on three key priorities: trust, resilience, and capital generation. Our team partners with all areas of CommBank to provide specialist advice, support, and services in finance, audit, treasury, property, procurement, climate strategy, and investor relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliations of suspense and control accounts.
- Work with BU Finance to identify root causes and minimize exceptions and aging.
- Automate reconciliations in Accurate and onboard reconciliations to Financial Control.
- Manage finance reconciliation controls, including Financial Controller and business operations reporting.
- Develop and migrate the Group's reconciliations onto Accurate and provide Level 1 support for existing reconciliations.
- Oversight and review of reconciliations in line with Group Reconciliation Policy.
- Ensure an appropriate segregation of duties and strong control environment is maintained.
- Closely partner with stakeholders to provide excellent service.
Requirements
- Financial Services/Professional Services experience.
- Process improvement mindset and ability to use productivity tools and techniques.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Financial control, including reconciliation, analysis, investigation, and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
