Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced support worker to provide practical, physical, and emotional support to people with disabilities in a Home or Community setting.
This is a rewarding opportunity to impact and empower individuals to maximise their independence positively.
The successful candidate will work with a range of clientele, enhancing their knowledge and level of expertise. Experience with challenging behaviours and complex trauma will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and mobility supports.
- Support participants with high physical needs, epilepsy, and complex trauma.
- Work effectively with limited supervision and in a team environment.
- Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including participants, family members, and healthcare professionals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services or Mental Health or other relevant qualifications.
- NDIS worker's screening check.
- Working with Children's Check.
- NDIS Covid 19 certification - Infection prevention and control for Covid 19.
- Certificate of Completion of NDIS Modules: Worker Module Orientation, Supporting Effective Communication, Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals, New Worker NDIS Induction Module.
- Vaccination Certificate - Proof of complete vaccination.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Right to work in Australia.
