Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a Midwifery Educator to join our team and provide education and training to midwives and other healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in midwifery, as well as experience in teaching and learning strategies.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for midwives and other healthcare professionals;
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff who require support or training in the workplace;
  • Collaborate with management to provide educational opportunities that facilitate a positive workplace culture and safe workplace environment;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical service delivery while preserving professional competency standards and ethics;

Key Requirements:

  • Current Registration as a Registered Midwife Division;
  • Tertiary Post Graduate qualifications;
  • Post-registration educational qualification relevant to providing specialist Midwifery education training sessions;
  • Awareness of contemporary issues in Midwifery clinical practice, quality service delivery, and staff education development;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to develop, deliver, and evaluate education programs;
  • Theoretical knowledge and experience in utilising a range of teaching and learning strategies to support staff development, including eLearning;
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Competence in the use of technology for communication as pertinent to the Midwife Education role;
