Job Description

The Registered Midwife is responsible for providing woman-centered, evidence-based midwifery care that promotes identified health outcomes. This involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing high-quality, patient-centered care to women and their families
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conducting assessments, providing education, and supporting women throughout the childbearing cycle

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated understanding of evidence-informed practice and critical thinking
  • Demonstrated commitment to person-centered care and NSW Health Core Values
  • Able to demonstrate commitment to working as part of a team and a high degree of autonomy
