Job Title: Estimator – Project Cost Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Estimator to join our business as part of a thriving estimating team. As the Estimator, you will be responsible for working across numerous tenders in the civil sector, valued between $5m-$30m.

You will contribute to the successful delivery of challenging projects, including sub divisions, bulk earthworks, general civil, and roadworks. Sub division experience is highly preferable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working on complex tenders in various civil sectors
  • Coordinating internal and external resources efficiently
  • Preparation and submission of detailed tenders
  • Reviewing and evaluating the tender and estimating process for cost-effectiveness
  • Tender negotiations with key stakeholders
  • Coordinate tender handover to project teams
  • Prepare accurate budgets based on tender submissions
  • Assess and price contract variation orders
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • At least 5 years' management experience on civil construction projects with a value of $5m+
  • Proven understanding of construction principles with a hands-on approach
  • Effective problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skills
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Please note that this role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a pre-construction team.
