Mining Team Lead

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong leadership background and extensive experience in underground mining operations. This position requires an individual who can effectively manage and direct teams to achieve set objectives.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the efforts of underground shift crews in executing planned mining activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental protocols.
- Distribute 24-hour plans to relevant parties and communicate expectations clearly.
- Vary plans as needed to accommodate changing circumstances.
- Provide assistance to Shift Engineers, Deputies, and Trades personnel.
- Monitor shift performance and enforce operational standards.
- Maintain accurate records of shift activities.
- A minimum of five years' experience in Underground Longwall Mining is essential.
- Certificate of competency as an Undermanager or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
- Prior experience in operational management is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities are required.
- Paid accommodation is provided during allocated roster periods.
- This role may be worked on a DIDO/Residential basis.
