Job Title: Procurement Specialist

The primary role of the Procurement Specialist is to support direct material procurement within a business unit, engaging cross-functional stakeholders and utilizing effective supplier relationship management techniques to enhance commercial and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities
  • Assemble request for quote (RFQ) packages and execute competitive quoting and benchmarking activities
  • Support cross-functional teams in implementing new product launches, design changes, and other initiatives
  • Collaborate with the supplier quality team and assigned suppliers to improve performance in terms of quality, delivery, and other metrics
  • Identify and execute cost savings initiatives for assigned commodities through resource allocation, supplier negotiations, and value analysis/value engineering (VAVE) activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • At least 2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
Preferred Skills And Experiences:
  • Proven communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and management skills
  • Strong analytical and computer-related skills, with Oracle experience being a plus
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple key activities
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
