Job Opportunity:

Financial Specialist - Regional Youth Court (01442)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records for juvenile placement funds and provide exceptional support services related to prevention, intervention, and youth programs.
  • Establish effective communication channels between Youth Court staff, providers, and office of court administrator personnel.
  • Perform thorough analysis of provider payment data, ensuring timely payments in accordance with contracts and available funding sources.
  • Review JCATS entries for accuracy and collaborate on reconciliations between JCATS and SABHRS systems.
  • Monitor and optimize the use of allocated funds; conduct regular expense analysis.
  • Deliver budget status reports to probation officers and offer expert fiscal guidance to Chief Probation Officers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, or a related field; alternatively, three years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance.
  • Prior experience in governmental accounting and proficiency in using SABHRS is highly desirable.
