RMIT University Manager Indigenous Engagement Leadership Position

RMIT University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Manager Indigenous Engagement, leading our efforts in reconciliation and cultural capability.
This new role will provide strategic advice and leadership to develop and implement initiatives related to the engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, students, and partners.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level strategic advice on Indigenous engagement and cultural capability
- Lead the development and implementation of initiatives to engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, students, and partners
- Collaborate with stakeholders across RMIT to support whole-of-university efforts in reconciliation and cultural capability
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A deep understanding of systemic barriers and challenges experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including building relationships with diverse groups
- The ability to represent RMIT externally and drive an Indigenous self-determination agenda
- Experience in program development, project management, and researching policy
- Proven project management skills and strategic thinking
- An estimated salary of $124,000 per annum, plus 17% superannuation
