About the Role:

As a Recreational Activities Officer at BaptistCare, you will play a key role in planning and organizing fun activities that support the elderly residents in our care. This is a permanent part-time position working 28 hours a fortnight, 4 days a week between 9am- 4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recreational activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a seamless delivery of services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure residents feel valued and respected.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willingness to complete)
  • Experience working with people with dementia (highly desirable)
  • Current NSW/ACT Drivers License and willingness to take clients on outings
  • Senior First Aid Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
  • Previous experience in caring for the elderly within an Aged or Community Care setting
