Recreational Activities Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recreational Activities Officer to join our team at BaptistCare. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our elderly residents by planning and organizing engaging activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement recreational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure seamless delivery of activities and services
- Conduct regular assessments to identify residents' needs and preferences
- Work closely with residents, families, and care staff to ensure individualized care and support
- Manage and maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all residents
- Completed Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willing to complete)
- Experience working with people with dementia (highly desirable)
- Current NSW/ACT Driver's License and ability to transport residents
- Senior First Aid Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Previous experience in caring for the elderly in an aged or community care setting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes
