About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Recreational Activities Officer to join our team at BaptistCare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and organizing fun activities to support our elderly customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities
- Ensure individual residents' needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account
- Develop and implement mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our residents' choices and independence
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willing to complete)
- Experience working with people with Dementia (highly desirable)
- Current NSW/ACT Drivers License and ability to take clients on outings
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Willingness to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check or provide current NDIS Worker screening clearance
- Previous experience in caring for the elderly within an Aged or Community Care setting
- Highly developed organisation and time management skills
- Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
