Job Summary

This is a high-performing role within the Office of General Counsel at NSW Treasury.

The successful applicant will provide independent legal and governance advice and services across information access, privacy, complaints, public interest disclosures, and administrative law.

  • Key responsibilities include managing requests under GIPA and Standing Order 52, providing legal advice and drafting documents, supporting investigations and responses to regulatory bodies, and advising on privacy and governance matters.

This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your advice helps shape public sector integrity.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Admission as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of NSW and a current practising certificate
  • Experience in government and/or governance advisory roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy
  • Ability to work autonomously and make justifiable decisions
