The Role

We are seeking a Senior Director to lead our Human Rights Education, Projects and Partnerships team. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will provide high-level leadership and representational skills, as well as substantial management experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and management of international partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region for the delivery of international cooperation activities.
  2. Provide strategic advice to the Commission Executive on potential projects and partnerships in alignment with the Commission Strategy and Workplan.
  3. Lead the development and sustainment of relationships with government, the private sector and civil society to effectively position the Commission to identify opportunities and maintain strategic alliances.
  4. Lead business development opportunities to enhance outreach and expansion of the Commission's training and education programs.
  5. Oversee the Commission's Workplace & Community Education function to promote and develop opportunities for human rights education and training programs.
  6. Provide strategic leadership on Commission-wide partnerships, external projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in international and domestic human rights law and policy, project management, external engagement, and strategic leadership.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to communicate confidently, persuasively, sensitively and articulately.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, with the capacity to ensure that various stakeholder interests are recognised and managed positively and professionally.
  • Dedication to delivering high-level comprehensive leadership, representation and management skills in a complex, sensitive and fast-moving environment.
