Internship Opportunity at Human Rights Watch

We are seeking two interns to join our Sydney office, where you will have the opportunity to work with our Advocacy and Development and Outreach Departments.

As an intern, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Conducting research and fact-checking on domestic and international human rights issues in Australia;
  • Assisting with the preparation of published materials, such as op-eds, dispatches, and press releases;
  • Monitoring press coverage and updating lists;
  • Supporting outreach tasks related to human rights in the Asia region, with a focus on Australia;
  • Using databases and assisting with event planning;
  • Other projects may be assigned based on your interests and skills.

To be eligible for this internship, you must be a currently enrolled student and have valid work authorization in Australia. You should also have a strong interest in international human rights and be well-organized, self-motivated, and reliable.
