Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Staff to lead our veterinary medical team at BeBee. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the hospital, ensuring the highest quality of veterinary care, and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Partner with the Practice Manager to manage the hospital and ensure a safe and engaging environment for our team and clients.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve medical quality and business performance.
    • Lead and mentor Associate Veterinarians to realize their full professional potential.
  • Client Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional client service and communicate effectively with clients, field leadership, and Central Team Support.
    • Act as a liaison between associates, clients, and field leadership.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee and train associates on professional, efficient, and exceptional client service.
    • Manage the veterinary hospital team, delegating tasks and improving hospital efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain veterinarians' schedules and work with the Practice Manager to schedule associates.
  • Financial Management
    • Partner with the Practice Manager to deliver outstanding financial results for the hospital.
    • Develop annual planning, budgeting, and hospital productivity levels.
  • Professional Development
    • Develop technical, medical skills for veterinary assistants/technicians.
    • Ensure all associates adhere to Banfield dress and grooming guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
    • Two years clinical experience required.
    • 1-3 years coaching and developing associate doctors required.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
