Job Summary

The NSW Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiation Therapist to fill the role of Deputy Chief Radiation Therapist. This position will provide high-level leadership and effective management of the radiation therapy staff and clinical services of the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute (MNCCI) Radiation Oncology Department.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the MNCCI Team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and reputation of the service within the resources available. You will work with the Chief Radiation Therapist (CRT) to provide high-level leadership and effective management of the radiation therapy staff and clinical services. You will also be responsible for developing a cohesive, effective work group who strive to provide high-quality, compassionate care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner, Radiation Therapist with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPB) and NSW Environmental Protection Authority licence to use ionising radiation. You will also need to demonstrate behaviour that reinforces the CORE Values of NSW Health; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Additionally, you will need to have extensive experience in radiation therapy simulation, planning (including CT), treatment delivery and providing patient care. You will also need to have demonstrable ability to manage within a multi-disciplinary department using contemporary methods for communication, performance management, conflict management and leadership of change.
