Job Opportunity

The primary goal of this role is to provide high-level electrical compliance and safety expertise across various business lines. Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and regulations, as well as providing expert advice on Workplace Health and Safety matters.

  • Maintaining existing Electrical/HSEQ systems to guarantee compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Interpreting and implementing legislative requirements into company policies and procedures.
  • Conducting targeted audits and engagement programs to assess compliance with Electrical Safety legislation.
  • Delivering WHS training and awareness programs to employees via e-campus modules and toolbox meetings.
  • Implementing Electrical Management Plans and variations to existing plans.

This is a hybrid role combining office work and site visits, requiring visible leadership in the organization. The main objective is enhancing electrical safety and compliance awareness across the organization.

Key Qualifications
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role, managing electrical safety frameworks preferably in the construction materials industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical trade experience as a licensed electrical contractor.
  • Experience in implementing safe and reliable electrical safety systems.
  • Ability to monitor, update, and adapt to changing electrical and safety legislation.
  • Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Electrical Trade Certificate/Electrical Contractors License.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate, Low Voltage Rescue Certificate desirable.
  • High Voltage Switching Certificate desirable.
  • Electrical Engineering Degree desirable.
