Position Overview

We invite you to join our Education Sector as the Head of Training and Implementation, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact daily. Every interaction, every line of code, and every design choice contributes to enriching our customers' experiences.

The Training and Implementation teams are pivotal in driving our organization's growth by supporting new and transitioning customers at the beginning of their Xplor Education journey, establishing a foundation for future upselling and cross-selling of additional products, as well as ensuring long-term satisfaction and retention.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Education & Personal Services, you will lead the team responsible for onboarding, offboarding, training, and product adoption within the Education sector. You will oversee, manage, and provide direction, ensuring that all tasks align with both internal and customer expectations regarding quality and timeliness. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to create and sustain the processes and activities necessary for integrating our products with required solutions.
  • Leading the training team to ensure revenue targets are achieved, making training a significant component of the commercial strategy.
  • Ensuring that project and departmental milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.
  • Managing the offboarding team to develop processes and tools that guarantee accurate billing cessation.
  • Aligning billing processes with onboarding and offboarding, with the ability to interpret contracts for accuracy.
  • Coordinating with the team to assess external customer product demands, developing project plans, and ensuring timely implementation that meets client expectations.
  • Working with the Commercial team to ensure team members have the necessary documentation, training, software, and tools to respond effectively to customers and retain critical information for internal use.
  • Collaborating with senior management to provide performance reports and metrics related to projects and departmental performance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% and flexibility to attend virtual meetings outside standard working hours to connect with colleagues across different regions.

Location: Preference will be given to candidates who can be on-site occasionally, as the majority of the team is based in a central location. However, remote work options are available for candidates located in Australia or New Zealand.

Essential qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience in a growing SaaS organization with revenues exceeding $20 million.
  • Several years of experience in leading and expanding an implementation and training organization.
  • A proven track record of building process-oriented teams with a blend of existing and new talent.
  • Experience in developing KPIs, generating reports, forecasting, and managing performance.
  • A passion for fostering a fun environment, developing talent, motivating teams, and building a world-class implementation and training organization.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of financial management principles to guide organizational actions and identify cost-effective strategies.
  • Business Insight: Recognizes current and future resource needs based on organizational goals and budget realities, identifying potential risks and implementing measures to mitigate them.
  • Empathy and Compassion: Values a culture where individuals feel safe to express their thoughts and emotions, particularly during challenging times.
  • Proven Experience: Establishing organizational systems for defining responsibilities and tracking, monitoring, and measuring success.
