Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations across the hotel's interior and exterior facilities.

This includes systems such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, structural elements, and landscaping.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of building management/engineering principles, motivation, self-drive, and a passion for delivering consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the Engineering Team in day-to-day operations, including service standards, equipment schedules, safety protocols, and work schedules.
  • Implementing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program to ensure all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
  • Monitoring and coordinating services performed by outside contractors in accordance with contracts and service agreements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Educational qualifications in Electrical, Plumbing or Mechanical trades.
  • Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering principles.
  • Motivation, self-drive, and a passion for delivering consistency.
  • Flexibility with rostering and availability 24/7 in case of emergencies.
  • High communication and collaborative skills.
  • Experience in facilities management, preferably within hotels and hospitality.
  • A hands-on and approachable leader with experience managing and training a team.
