The role of Project Cost Controller is pivotal in the efficient management and control of project expenses, offering financial support, guidance, and oversight for specific business initiatives.

Job Summary

This exciting opportunity involves working closely with commercial teams to develop and implement effective cost control strategies, ensuring accurate financial reporting and budget compliance. The successful candidate will be a numbers-focused professional with expertise in data analysis and strong knowledge of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain robust Cost Control Procedures and assist in implementing a comprehensive Cost Control System.
  • Generate, update, and maintain reports on income, expenditure, and financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and governance requirements and facilitate accurate reporting for cost control, cost forecasting, monthly cost reporting, and financial reporting.
  • Support the development of cost control processes and procedures in collaboration with project stakeholders.

The Project Cost Controller will also be responsible for undertaking regular audits, making plausibility checks of the cost control system, and reporting errors or misuse to the relevant manager. Additionally, they will prepare analyses or reports required by the Project Commercial Manager to verify, clarify, or highlight the project's cost-to-date, cost/margin forecast, invoice, and accounts reconciliation.

Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Microsoft Excel Visual Basic and interest in Power BI.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cost control roles and working knowledge of Accounting and Finance in a Projects environment.
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting/Quantity Surveying or other relevant field.
