Job Description:

The Future Generation Joint Venture is a leading engineering company involved in the design and construction of large-scale infrastructure projects. One of their notable projects is the Snowy 2.0 pumped hydro scheme, which will deliver renewable energy and large-scale storage for generations to come.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on an iconic project and contribute to the success of the finance function. The Accountant is responsible for preparing accounts, budgeting, and managing financial information, as well as assisting in the management of the finance functions to support the organization.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Accounts function and authorizations
  • Assist the Cost Control function and authorizations
  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Job costing analysis
  • Assist in maintaining internal audit and controls

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance or any other relevant Commerce degree, CA or CPA Qualification, and White Card. They should also have recent graduate experience with work experience within a contractor, high-level computer literacy, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience within a construction environment is preferred, along with knowledge of SAP, Australian standards, and banking systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance or relevant Commerce degree
  • CA or CPA Qualification
  • White Card
  • Recent graduate experience within a contractor
  • High-level computer literacy
