Accountant Job Role

The role of an Accountant is crucial to the success of our business. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Accountant.

The Accountant will be responsible for preparing accounts, budgeting and managing financial information, as well as assisting in the management of the finance functions to support our business as directed by the Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Accounts function and authorisations
  • Assist the Cost Control function and authorisations
  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Assist in the refinement of management information systems and integrate / improve reporting frameworks
  • Monitoring of record-keeping and compliance requirements

Additionally, the Accountant will provide financial support to internal stakeholders and assist in the improvement of internal controls and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance or any other relevant Commerce degree
  • CA or CPA Qualification
  • White Card
  • High level of computer literacy with advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and in particular, Excel
  • Experience within a construction (infrastructure) environment – preferred
