About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled National Sales Manager to join our team at Nutrition APAC Pty Ltd. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion for our brands across Australia/NZ.

You will lead and inspire a team of sales professionals, develop and implement effective sales strategies, and build strong relationships with key customers. Reporting to the Managing Partners, you will be a strategic thinker with a strong commercial acumen who is self-motivated and driven to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's overall revenue and marketing objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, motivation, support, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Establish and manage key channel partnerships to maximize business opportunities, maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that help grow sales.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, track performance metrics, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Manage and take responsibility for all operational activities to drive revenue growth by optimizing sales processes, improving conversion rates, and expanding market share.
  • Lead negotiations with customers to secure profitable deals, maximize ROI and achieve financial targets.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to communicate and manage expectations relating to shipments, inventory, product allocation and changes based on sales demand.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, analyze competitive landscapes and industry trends, and provide valuable insights to inform sales strategies.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated 8+ years success in a senior sales leadership role within the sports nutrition/food distribution and FMCG industry.
  • Significant experience managing a team with demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop others.
  • Experience in planning and executing profitable sales strategies and range reviews with a long-term focus.
  • A results-oriented mindset, consistently meeting targets and negotiating contracts.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • A customer-centric mindset and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Demonstrated exposure in bringing new products to market, collaborating across teams to achieve goals.
  • Analytical in data, clear and open-minded.
  • An affinity for working 'at pace' in a rapidly evolving workplace.
  • The highest ethical standards and sense of accountability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel.
