Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) Maintenance Planner

Asseton is seeking a highly skilled professional to support maintenance planning for a Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) during a backfill period. This role is available immediately and will run through to the end of May 2025.

Job Description:

Plan and coordinate short to medium-term maintenance activities for the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). Initiate and monitor the purchasing and logistics process to ensure the availability of parts, equipment, resources, and tooling. Oversee the mechanical operations of the CHPP to ensure smooth running. Develop and manage the maintenance strategy for all CHPP equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop weekly maintenance plans using equipment strategies to minimize downtime, optimize production, and meet plant reliability and availability targets.
  • Ensure all maintenance and statutory information in the CMMS is accurate, detailed, and up to date.
  • Communicate any potential disruptions to planned activities promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with the mining operations team to align maintenance plans with production objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning, particularly in a Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) environment.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance scheduling, purchasing, logistics, and plant operations.
  • Experience using CMMS to track maintenance and statutory data.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and resources effectively.
