Job Overview

We are seeking a Casual Coal Quality Specialist to join our team.

This is an entry-level position with potential for long-term employment for the right candidate.

The role focuses on evaluating metallurgical and thermal coal using advanced equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely handle and process large coal and coke samples.
  • Load/unload material from high-temperature ovens.
  • Perform physical testing (crushing, sizing, dividing).
  • Record and transfer validated test results into systems.
  • General site duties and safety incident reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • No prior experience required; comprehensive training provided.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy, and basic computer skills.
  • Physical stamina; capable of repetitive manual handling in a dusty and hot environment.
  • Willingness to learn, wear protective equipment, and meet production deadlines.
