Our operation is seeking a Coal Quality Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to play a key role in the success of our coal quality management.

As a Coal Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for driving a high-performance, safe and productive work culture, role modelling and reinforcing the behaviours that will underpin the success of our operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Develop and implement daily and weekly coal plans to ensure optimal coal quality.">
  • Manage ROM stockpiles and interact with coal chain stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.">
  • Provide geotechnical hazard reporting, highwall mapping and hydrogeological monitoring to support informed decision making.">
  • Advising on coal seam & partings characteristics for reconciliations & field exposures.">

About You

">

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • ">
  • A Bachelor of Science (Geology major) or other related tertiary qualifications preferred OR secondary education with extensive exposure to Open Cut Coal Mining in NSW and willingness to complete tertiary qualifications.">
  • Experience working in an Open Cut Mine Environment.">
  • Exposure to Vulcan, PointStudio, Deswik and/or MinVu software's.">
  • Open drivers license (ability to drive manual).">
