About the Role

The Royal Women's Hospital is seeking a Psychiatry Registrar to join our team in a dynamic and rewarding role. As a key member of our Mental Health Department, you will have the opportunity to develop high-level skills in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry or Women's Mental Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our Mental Health Department
  • Participate in clinical and audit meetings, as well as specific teaching sessions for doctors in training
  • Develop and implement research projects, with support and encouragement from our team
  • Attend regular meetings at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and participate in educational sessions with both RMH and Peter Mac
  • Undertake a variety of psychotherapies in your clinical practice and participate in internal and external training and education sessions
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Accreditation for advanced training by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
  • Eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Preferably be a Stage 3 Advanced Trainee, in either Consultation Liaison Psychiatry or Generalist training, but we may consider Stage 2 Trainees
