About the Role

The University of Adelaide is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Manager to join our Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering business acumen and supporting the Faculty Executive Director and Heads of School in their strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sound strategic advice and support to the Faculty Executive Director and Heads of School on business-related matters.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans, ensuring alignment with the University's goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage administrative staff in delivering client-centric services and managing change and transition processes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards) and extensive relevant experience in business management, economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and influencing cultural change to positively impact service delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
