The University of Adelaide is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Manager to join our Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering business acumen and supporting the Faculty Executive Director and Heads of School in their strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Provide sound strategic advice and support to the Faculty Executive Director and Heads of School on business-related matters.
- Oversee the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans, ensuring alignment with the University's goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage administrative staff to deliver client-centric services and manage change and transition processes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with Faculty Functional Managers to support the delivery of a broad range of services, including budgeting, infrastructure, reporting, and quality assurance.
- Postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards) and extensive relevant experience, or a degree qualification in accounting and/or business management with subsequent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in providing sound strategic advice, including preparation of reports and development of strategic and operational plans.
- Proven ability to lead and manage administrative staff, with a focus on delivering client-centric services and managing change and transition processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
