About the Opportunity
Fyfe has recently experienced high growth due to significant investment from a strong Australian Private Equity fund. As a result, we are seeking a Strategic Business Analyst to support the Chief Financial Officer with strategic planning, operational improvement, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives to drive business growth.
This role will be located within our Adelaide-based corporate team, however, applications are also encouraged from candidates based in Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational key performance indicator analysis and modeling.
- Develop detailed financial evaluations to support proposed projects.
- Identify improvement opportunities and formulate strategies to address business challenges through emerging technology that drive change.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences, preparing presentations and reports to the board and executive team.
- Support strategic pricing work and perform competitive analysis.
- Provide modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and project management support for mergers and acquisitions opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, economics, finance, or a related field with proven commercial acumen.
- Experience in investment banking or the Big 4 is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in strategic planning backed by strong financial modeling skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in predictive data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerBi).
- Strong skills in the preparation of succinct presentations.
- Detail-oriented with a keen attention to accuracy.
- Demonstrated experience and involvement in understanding a corporate finance function.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-making processes.
- Highly self-motivated with effective time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to changing business environments and priorities.
