Central Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an experienced Lead Mental Health Nurse Manager to join our team at Tranmere. This full-time temporary position offers a salary of $100,343 - $107,279 p.a. + Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits.

About the Role

As a Lead Mental Health Nurse Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent in leading and managing our dedicated nursing team. You will work closely with the NUM to ensure the delivery of high-quality, consistent care across the unit, collaborating with other ANUMs and healthcare staff to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement.

Your leadership will help to create a positive and supportive work environment where nurses can thrive and patients receive exceptional care. In this dynamic role, you will take on a variety of responsibilities, including assisting with staffing, rostering, and leave management, as well as supporting recruitment and performance management processes.

You will also be involved in the financial and supplies planning and monitoring to ensure the smooth operation of the unit. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse looking to expand their leadership skills while contributing to the development of a highly skilled and motivated team.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • You are a Registered Nurse with current practising certificate and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).
  • You have proven leadership and communication skills, with experience in managing teams and facilitating change.
  • You have at least three years post-registration experience in mental health nursing, including the supervision and coordination of staff.
  • You possess strong knowledge of mental health nursing theories, policies, and legislation, with a focus on recovery-based approaches.
