Job Overview

The Supply Chain Specialist position is pivotal in supporting the Procurement & Supply Chain team by overseeing freight forwarder invoices, minimizing detention times, and driving supply chain initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Review freight forwarder invoices for accuracy against rate cards, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Negotiate with freight forwarders to resolve disputes and optimize costs.
  • Analyze detention invoices to identify root causes and implement corrective actions, reducing downtime and improving efficiency.
  • Maintain the High Risk Inventory Report, guaranteeing up-to-date and accurate information for informed decision-making.
  • Apply data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data visualization tools to gain valuable insights into supply chain operations, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze purchase prices to understand pricing movements and their impact on the business, informing strategic decisions.
  • Evaluate supplier performance through DIFOT (Delivered In Full On Time) metrics and performance analysis, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and shipping document processes, streamlining operations and reducing bottlenecks.

  • Extensive knowledge of shipping processes and logistics is crucial for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain and Procurement Best Practices, as well as relevant technologies, is essential.
