About the Role

Milestone IT is seeking an experienced End User Computing (EUC) Engineer to join our team on a 3-month contract basis with high probability of extension. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for ensuring end-user devices are functioning optimally, troubleshooting issues, and managing software deployments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Packaging: Create, test, and deploy software packages for enterprise-wide deployment using tools such as SCCM or similar.
  • Desktop Support: Provide tier-2/3 support for desktop and laptop systems, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues for end users.
  • Device Management: Manage end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, ensuring proper configuration, updates, and security patching.
  • Software Deployment: Automate and streamline the deployment of applications and updates to users across the organization.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to desktop environments, including OS-level issues, application errors, and device connectivity.
  • End-User Support: Assist users in resolving technical issues through remote or in-person support, ensuring a high-quality experience.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of troubleshooting steps, incidents, and resolutions in line with internal IT support practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, such as network engineers, systems administrators, and service desk, to ensure smooth operations and quick resolution of issues.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in EUC engineering, desktop support, or a similar role.
  • Experience with application packaging and deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with both hardware and software issues in a Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, and device management best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with end users and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
  • Certifications in relevant IT disciplines (such as Microsoft or CompTIA) are a plus.
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in scripting or automation (PowerShell or similar).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based solutions like Microsoft Azure, Office 365.
