Associate Structural Engineer Role

The primary function of this position is to strike a balance between technical expertise and leadership responsibilities, while also engaging with clients and driving business development.

  • Lead the creation and implementation of structural solutions for commercial, residential, educational, and healthcare projects
  • Drive client engagement, foster trusted relationships, and represent the company at industry forums
  • Support business growth through networking, proposal preparation, and repeat client work
  • Oversee project teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to the technical growth of the group
  • Ensure designs, documentation, and reports meet technical, quality, and compliance standards
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, architects, and contractors to deliver innovative and practical outcomes

Key requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Chartered status desirable)
  • Proven technical capability across concrete, steel, and timber structures
  • Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to engage, present, and influence stakeholders effectively
  • Experience in managing and delivering projects from design through to construction phase services
  • Proficiency with design software (ETABS, RAM, RAPT, SpaceGass) and familiarity with Revit
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and business development acumen
  • Australian permanent residency required
