About the company:

Join a high-performing Engineering Services team supporting a diverse fleet of generation assets across Australia. This is an opportunity for a passionate Senior Electrical Engineer to play a critical role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of essential energy infrastructure.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert electrical engineering support across HV systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation of key power generation assets.
  • Lead and contribute to detailed protection studies and system design reviews.
  • Scope and support condition monitoring, equipment overhauls, and capital upgrade projects.
  • Apply engineering principles to diagnose failures, assess equipment condition, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Support commissioning, technical supervision, and specification of electrical works.
  • Provide input into asset management strategies to extend equipment life at optimal cost.
  • Collaborate with operations, projects, and asset teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
Qualifications:
  • Degree-qualified Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer
  • 10+ years' experience in LV/HV systems and equipment, with a strong foundation in protection studies and electrical design.
  • Working knowledge of generators, transformers, inverters, or instrumentation highly desirable.
  • Experience in plant operations, maintenance, or commissioning (power station experience ideal however not essential).
  • Chartered or working towards CPEng and relevant state-based registration (e.g. RPEQ).
  • Safety-focused, with clear and confident communication skills and a strong improvement mindset.
