The Role – Associate Structural Engineer (7–12 Years' Experience)
This is an exciting opportunity for a structural engineer who is ready to step into an Associate-level role. You'll balance technical excellence with leadership, client engagement, and business development responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and delivery of structural solutions across commercial, residential, education, and healthcare sectors
- Driving client and stakeholder engagement, developing trusted relationships, and representing the business at industry forums
- Supporting business development through networking, proposal preparation, and repeat client work
- Overseeing project teams, mentoring engineers, and contributing to the technical growth of the group
- Ensuring designs, documentation, and reports meet technical, quality, and compliance standards
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, architects, and contractors to deliver innovative and practical outcomes
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Chartered status desirable)
- Proven technical capability across concrete, steel, and timber structures
- Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to engage, present, and influence stakeholders effectively
- Experience in managing and delivering projects from design through to construction phase services
- Proficiency with design software (ETABS, RAM, RAPT, SpaceGass) and familiarity with Revit
- Excellent communication, leadership, and business development acumen
- Australian permanent residency (required)
- A Senior Structural Engineer ready to step into a leadership and client-facing Associate role
- A technically capable professional with strong interpersonal skills who thrives on building relationships
