Safety and Risk Management Lead

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Risk Management Lead to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective risk management processes to identify and mitigate SIWE risks
- Contribute to the Primary Connect SIWE governance program by conducting first-line-of-defence audits and supporting the close-out of any gaps
- Partner with the Operational and SIWE team members to drive change and deliver Primary Connect's strategic objectives
- Promote safety values and implement safety, health, and environment policies and systems to embed safety into the culture and ways of working
- Build and promote a team environment focused on working collaboratively to achieve team and DC objectives
- Adhere to and enforce compliance with all legal obligations and requirements
Requirements
- Sound experience and working knowledge of safety legislation, codes of practice, and standards
- Experience with the development of documentation, such as work instructions, SOPs, and processes
- Good analysis and problem-solving skills, including analysing trends and numerical skills
- Experience working within a hands-on Safety role
- Diploma or equivalent formal qualifications in WHS or related
